A quick overview of the RMT Steam Turbine Control system
RMT analog card
The RMT CARD is specially designed to control single inlet or regulated extraction steam turbines, driving alternators, compressors, pumps or blowers.
The turbine monobloc regulator controlling the servo-valve enables the following operations to be carried out:
- Speed increase
- Coupling
- Speed adjustment
- Loading
- Adjustment of a process parameter (power or pressure)
- Change of regulation according to external criteria ensuring coupled or islanded operation of the turbo-generator set.
RMT slave mode
Two turbines can control output pressure in master/slave mode.
When the first Turbo-Alternator is coupled and in pressure regulation mode, the second TA is on the pressure regulator of the 1st TA (by external regulation).
The 2nd TA’s pressure regulator is permanently initialised, ready to control the intake in the event of a trip or manual changeover being activated.
